About HMF2

At HMF2 we call upon our 25 years of experience in the shipping industry to provide training and expert guidance in the compliance of regulatory matters for transporting dangerous goods and hazardous materials. We specialize in compliance of both Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (49CFR) of the U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Training

HMF2 provides in-house training that covers “49 Code of Federal Regulations” (49 CFR) and/or the “International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code” (IMDG). This training is tailored to meet both the general awareness and job specific requirements of 49 CFR, Subpart H.

We can also develop a company specific in-house program to be delivered by a properly trained internal employee. This allows your company to have training available to meet your needs and the regulations at all times. We offer an annual update for our in-house training programs as well.

Policies & Procedures

Working closely with your company HMF2 will create hazardous material policies and procedures that are practical and cost effective. We believe that it is possible to have policies and procedures that make sense to both management and employees thereby increasing compliance.

In addition to normal policies and procedures, we can develop emergency response programs for both your facility(s) and incidents that may occur during transportation.

Regulatory Affairs

HMF2 offers regulatory interpretations for both 49 CFR and IMDG. By closely monitoring the US DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Saftey Administration, the IMO Sub-committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid Cargoes, Containers, and the UN Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods we are able to provide the most current interpretation of the requlations as well as advice on any future changes that might affect your company.
